Our client is the division of a NYSE quoted multinational. A global leader in outsourced pharmaceutical picking, packaging and order fulfillment, the company works with major international drug manufacturers to provide exceptionally high on-time service levels to stringent regulatory and QA standards with no margin for error. All orders are assembled, packaged and distributed worldwide with total supply chain visibility and control via a network of depots. The company manages the whole process from the project planning stage through regulatory hurdles, warehouse processes, shipping and delivery.

Due to dynamic growth and promotion, our client now requires a Country Manager to take day to day responsibility for its site in Singapore to include secondary packaging, storage, picking and distribution.

COUNTRY SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER
(Singapore)

Responsibilities:
• recruitment of staff, the directing, implementing and use of management systems;
• ensure systems and capacity are sufficient to meet storage needs;
• independently develop strategies and tactics for improving operational efficiencies while improving service levels and profitability;
• provide leadership and assume responsibility for the functional and financial control of the depot including development and management of an annual business plan and budget;

There will be travel within Singapore, undertaking business development to ensure budget and growth plans are met.

Specifically you will

•  Manage the day to day supply chain to ensure service levels are met.
•  Implement training programmes for employees.
•  Develop and maintain systems and procedures that ensure standards relating to Good Manufacturing Practice and Health & Safety are complied with.
•  Develop and maintain systems to measure performance against established standards.
•  Monitor performance (in relevant areas) according to agreed standards and take necessary action to meet the agreed performance levels.
•  Manage departmental performance against agreed targets and budgets, and within policies and standards.
•  Explore, implement and set up efficient in country distribution/delivery services.
•  Develop additional business opportunities.

Requirements:
The Ideal Person
•  You must currently reside in or be a Singapore resident/national
•  Fluent English language skills, both spoken and written
•  You must have supply chain and logistics experience including management of warehousing and distribution operations with direct people management
•  Knowledge of fast moving, temperature controlled logistics industry preferable
•  Excellent people management and development experience
•  You must have business development experience
•  You must be educated to degree level
•  Experience gained within pharmaceutical, hi tech or healthcare or other highly regulated logistics/supply chain environment would be an advantage
•  You must provide evidence of building and driving a warehouse/distribution operations team
•  You will be computer literate with experience of Excel and Supply Chain or Materials Management systems
•  You must provide evidence of your supply chain and logistics analytical capabilities – the ability to problem solve, delegate and project manage change and improvement initiatives
•  Your career history must include evidence of your customer service and customer relationship building abilities
•  You will be self motivated, able to work independently and within a team. With excellent attention to detail and produce work to the highest quality.
